SSDs

Why an SSD

An SSD is the best upgrade for a slow laptop or PC: it starts in seconds and programs open straight away. If your computer still has a hard disk (HDD), an SSD makes it feel new.

• NVMe (M.2) SSDs are the fastest and fit most laptops and PCs made in the last few years.
• 2.5-inch SATA SSDs replace an older laptop's hard disk.
• Size: 500 GB to 1 TB suits most people; gamers and photographers want more.

Can you fit the SSD and keep my files?

Yes. We fit the SSD in our shop in Ħamrun and copy your Windows, programs and files over, so you carry on where you were. We check the computer first and tell you the price before any work.

Is an SSD worth it on an old laptop?

Usually yes, if the laptop has 8 GB of memory or can take more. Our guide helps you decide: Slow laptop or PC: upgrade, repair or replace?
