The V1 Max is a fully customization mechanical keyboard, offering both 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. Its compact 75% layout, gasket mount design, sound absorbing foam, double-shot PBT keycaps, and more take your typing experience to a new level, delivering heightened levels of comfort and productivity.
Experience peak gaming performance on the fly with the 2.4 GHz wireless connection boasting a rapid 1000 Hz polling rate. For seamless multitasking across your computer, phone, and tablet, you can effortlessly connect the V1 Max via Bluetooth 5.1 to three devices.
A powerful ARM architecture MCU equipped with 256K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz right out of the box, which makes the latency hardly noticeable even in competitive games.
These double-shot PBT keycaps have a similar height to the OEM profile and has an SA-like shape. We named it the OSA (OEM spherical angled) keycap. The PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out.
Built with the Mac users’ experience in mind while still retaining compatibility for Windows devices, the Keychron V1 Max comes with a system toggle and an additional set of customized keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.
By adopting a gasket mount design along with a PC (Polycarbonate) plate, the V1 Max reduces acoustic resonance, delivering a softer and quieter typing experience with enhanced flexibility.
With full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap each key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, even the knob, and more.
Since the VIA code for the V1 Max is still awaiting approval from Github, it is not yet automatically recognized. Please download the appropriate keymap JSON file below, open VIA, turn on “Show Design tab” on “Settings” tab, and drag the JSON file into the “Design” tab on VIA to get the V1 Max key-map working on VIA.
The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change the switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.
The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard back-light from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT key-caps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative key-caps on the keyboard.
Our exclusive Gateron Jupiter mechanical switch (for the Fully Assembled version only) comes with a 3-pin design, its pre-lubed with a reliable Gateron quality standard with up to 80 million keystrokes lifespan. While their unique LED diffuses design offers high RGB back-light transmittance and softer back-light effect.
The banana switch provides an early tactile bump at the top with a uniquely smooth experience like those Panda switches on the market.
Even small part matters for your fingertip feel. We’ve integrated the PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizers for a smoother typing experience with less wobbliness on the big keys such as space bar, shift, enter, and delete. The Keychron V1 Max also supports third-party screw-in PCB stabilizers.
